Binho Ribeiro started his street art journey in 1984 – growing as a pioneer of the movement in South America with Speto and OsGemeos. Among the most recognized street artists in Brazil, his reputation has expanded globally through his accurate work on canvas and striking murals.
His work can be found in galleries and walls across the world in Japan, United States, France, Italy, South Africa, Lebanon, Chile, Argentina, Ghana or China.
Through his cultural production company focused on structuring urban art in Brazil, he has developed custom projects for major companies such as Johnnie Walker, Coca Cola, Ford, Nestlé, and collaborated with international recording artists such as Madonna for her Superstar’ promotional single.
Over the years, Binho has created a world of original characters known as his “gang”. Coming straight from his imagination – the turtle, shark and cockroach give life to his love for modern culture and particularly hip-hop music, as well as his sensitivity toward social matters.
Painting everyday whether for work or for pleasure, Binho enjoys experimenting new styles to broaden his pallet and portray a ludic, surrealist and at time realist universe characterized by strong colors and smooth movement.
