Born and based in São Paulo, Carol Murayama is a versatile artist whose creative process has been crossing the path of various aesthetic lines and means. As her hometown, she is constantly in movement and perpetually evolving.

First active as a muralist for private and commercial projects, Carol Murayama naturally transitioned to graffiti - a field of freedom giving her the opportunity to publicly depict male and female figures. Capturing glimpse of the body to which she pays homage, Carol aims to provoke one’s reflection and trigger his/her emotions. Her world honors the beauty of each – no matter one’s shape or colour – with a touch of poetry enhancing our fundamental need of kindness and gentleness.

Her work as a successful tattoo artist contributed to refine her perspective regarding the body. Having been in contact with various types of physical shapes and structures, Carol has learned to apprehend, cherish and respect each’ body.
